One of the most common questions I get asked is “What time do you start working from your home or at your business after breakfast hours?” For many people the first thing they think of is to show up at work when their alarm clocks go off. But this isn’t always the best option for everyone.
I have had a lot of clients come into my office ready to be on their way to work but end up being slightly late because they may have overslept or even worse gotten up way before their alarm went off. This can obviously lead to problems if you’re trying to close business or meet someone for lunch or something.
What I recommend is that you stay where you are and start working when your alarm goes off. If it’s late in the morning or right after you wake up, I would highly suggest staying at home. You don’t have to make yourself go to work but if your work entails you to go somewhere after you eat then you should definitely go home wendys breakfast hours. That way you can have a good night’s sleep, be in control of your own life again and not deal with strange people or strange smells all morning.
Another common question is “How do I get started when I’m not working from home?” It can be very difficult to start without a real goal and a direction in mind. If you want to work from home but you aren’t sure what that is yet, start by setting some short term goals. Start writing them down and memorizing them. Once you have done so you will know exactly what you are trying to accomplish in your life at this very minute.
If you already have an idea of what you hope to achieve then it is much easier to go forward. You will also be able to recognize when you’ve gotten off track and need to regain your bearings. By making a list of things that you need to do or have accomplished as well as the things you hope to achieve in the future, you will be much more disciplined in your actions.
Remember, that the only person who can make you succeed in anything is yourself. By recognizing when you’ve gotten off track and putting your energy toward changing that, you will be able to accomplish much more in the long run.
When the time comes for you to start your day and wrap up your breakfast hours, be sure to start on the right foot by getting started early. Many people make the mistake of starting late or staying late. If you do that, then chances are you will find yourself in a hurry most of the day, and this is the opposite of what you want to happen. When you begin your day and get started early, you can put more energy into the tasks at hand because you will be able to take your time through your daily routine and not rush through it.
Another mistake many people make is to leave work for their breakfast hours at home. This is a terrible idea and can really screw up your productivity and concentration. While you may be running here and there during the course of the day, you will still need to be focused in order to get the most done. The key to keeping your workflow from being slowed down is to get started early and to stay focused so you finish your work at the end of the day.
