The idea of PERS is an acronym for Public Education, Resource Planning for Preschool and kindergarten teachers, Second Language Teaching, Social-Emotional Learning, Science and Technology for Early Childhood Education, and Teacher Development. It is quite common to hear the acronym PVER in a school setting, as it is the official name for the PERS program.

The acronym is actually a misnomer though, as the program really does encompass four distinct areas of focus: physical activities, social-emotional, science, and technology. Although there are many elements of each area that can overlap, each is in fact its own area of concentration.

For teachers, there are several things they can do with PE resources to teach effectively. First, they can use the information to teach core content areas such as reading, writing, math, science, geography, and history. Each PERS lesson plan has lesson objectives, and these objectives must be clearly defined so that every teacher knows what they are trying to achieve. For teachers who are on a tight budget, there are several ways in which they can make the most of PERS. Of course, PERS has many benefits, but it does require some planning on your part. One of the first things you should decide on when planning your physical education lesson is whether or not you will be scheduling a lunchtime. If you cannot afford lunch, then you will need to schedule an after school activity that will allow you to eat between sessions. Another great way to save on the cost of your PERS lesson is to make sure you include various forms of physical activity in your curriculum. The more exercises you plan for, the lower the cost and the easier it will be to provide a nutritious and balanced meal for your students.
